About Lofts

Built in 1910  for the Samuel Horchow Company.

  840 Gallia was the first high rise building in the city of Portsmouth.  

Terry Ockerman purchased the building for complete renovation in 2004 and  converted it to market rate loft apartments to supply the growing demand of urban living.    He combined old with the new and gave Portsmouth a new perspective of living the Loft life.  These eye-catching loft apartments features several wonderful details, with a mix of exposed brick, concrete and elegant touches. 

The Lofts presents a warm and inviting living environment thanks to an open floorplan, stylish furnishings and a layering of textures.   Each apartment is a functional living space perfect for relaxing or entertaining. 

The Lofts Coffee Company and Roastery began in 2014 complementing the lifestyle and needs of current residents in addition to those moving to Portsmouth seeking a urban lifestyle and a great cup of coffee. 

Terry continues to encourage others to invest in making Portsmouth a lifestyle community. 

He currently oversees the quality and scope of every aspect of the business.
